EST's Pop-A-Plug® Removal Tool (PRT) is the ideal companion to our Pop-A-Plug Installation Tools - perfect for removing installed Pop-A-Plugs when it comes time to retube, sleeve or retire the bundle.
The PRT can remove all styles of Pop-A-Plugs quickly and easily. A dual function tool, the PRT features a nose piece that threads into the pin of an installed plug, enabling you to drive the pin from the ring. The tool retains the pin while a serrated spear grabs the ring's ID. An integral slide hammer then lets you pull out the ring and pin complete.
The three-piece PRT consists of a main body shaft, a spear, and a slide hammer. Different spears are available to remove any size and P2 or CPI/Perma Plug.
